Menu for May 23rd – 29th


No, I actually haven’t fallen off the face of the earth…
For some reason, our internet has been spotty lately, and I’ve ended up frustrating myself trying to get things posted in the small amounts of time I have allotted for blogging.  I’m going to try and stay up on things from now on, and if you need to ask a question, please feel free to email me at hiddenpathways (at) gmail (dot) com – I have quite a few emails to answer still, so if I haven’t gotten back to you yet, I am planning on doing so in the next week!  Thanks!

On another note: our garden is doing wonderfully! The corn is growing nice and tall, and the tomatoes are starting to blossom out.  There are little baby squashes that are peeking out from under the leaves, and the potatoes are being fairly resourceful with their efforts.  Yay!  Hopefully, I’ll be adding more fresh produce to our menus soon – it’s been woefully sparse lately.

breakfast: (Papa gave us some awesome macadamia nut waffles – delicious, and of course made with white flour!), sauteed bananas
lunch at the Georgeson Round-up
dinner: red lentil soup, rolls, spinach salad w/creamy ranch dressing

breakfast: hardboiled eggs, fried sweet potatoes, toast, apples
am snack: peanut butter, graham crackers
lunch: hotdogs, sauerkraut, carrot sticks
pm snack: peach-kefir smoothies
dinner: meatloaf, creamed spinach, salad

breakfast: soaked whole wheat pancakes (NT recipe), berry compote, whipped cream
am snack: apples, raisins
lunch: beefy chili, cornbread muffins
pm snack: pita triangles, olive hummus
dinner: roasted chicken & gravy, egg noodles, salad

breakfast: fried eggs, hashbrowns, toast
am snack: cornbread muffins, honey butter
lunch: l.o. noodles w/hotdogs, pickled beets
pm snack: sweet potato cookies (NT recipe)
dinner: spicy beef meatballs, brown rice pilaf, mixed vegetables

breakfast: soaked banana nut waffles (recipe soon…), sliced bananas, whipped cream
am snack: berry slushies
lunch: fried rice & vegetables
pm snack: applesauce, graham crackers
dinner: baked potatoes w/salsa, sour cream, salad

breakfast: carrot cake (NT recipe, with less sugar, more pineapple), cream cheese
am snack: coconut crunchies
lunch: fried potatoes, apples & onions, hardboiled eggs
pm snack: dried bluberries, yogurt
dinner: minestrone soup, rolls, salad

Trip to the Aquarium!
breakfast: fried egg sandwiches, fruit
lunch: pita sandwiches, fruit
dinner at our favorite pub!
