Menu for June 13th – 19th


We’re coming into the end of our berry season…
It’s been lovely.
We’ve got gallons in the freezer, eaten as many as we can hold,
and enjoyed having purple fingers and faces.

In the meantime, we’re getting really awesome production from our garden –
lots of squash, cucumbers, and eggplant.
I’m also counting down the days till all our little green tomatoes
turning a cheerful red!

Until then, here’s our menu for the week:

breakfast: soaked whole grain pancakes, sauteed bananas, whipped raw cream
lunch: roasted chicken w/greens, brown rice, salad
dinner: tuna sandwiches, celery sticks

breakfast: fried eggs, toast
am snack: blackberry smoothies
lunch: chicken salad sandwiches, carrot sticks
pm snack: homemade corn chips, salsa

breakfast: soaked oatmeal, peaches
am snack: cantaloupe slices
lunch: chicken tacos, homemade cortido
pm snack: cottage cheese
dinner: baked macaroni & cheese, broccoli, salad

breakfast: scrambled eggs, toast, fruit
am snack: berry-peachy smoothies
lunch: l.o. macaroni & cheese, salad
pm snack: raw cheese, homemade crackers
dinner: chicken & dumplings, pickled beets, salad

breakfast: soaked oat granola, blackberries, cream
am snack: carrot sticks, hummus

dinner: spicy beef stir-fry w/vegetables

breakfast: baked eggs w/sausage, toast
am snack: cantaloupe slices
lunch: peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, fruit
pm snack: sweet ricotta w/berries
dinner: chicken noodle soup, biscuits, salad

breakfast: biscuits, sausage gravy, applesauce
lunch & dinner at Atchley Family Reunion
