Menu for September 5th – 11th

It’s the time for harvest!
This Monday we’re taking advantage of the holiday and using the time to put up applesauce and can peaches…
Brian is taking the boys so I can work (mostly) unhindered. 🙂

We put up 29 quarts of cling peaches, and 4.5 gallons of applesauce! SUCCESS!!

*happy dance*
It is going to be cooler again this week!
Cooler, meaning less than 80º for a good 3 days!

I’m excited to start baking my bread in the oven again (when it’s hot, I use the breadmaker, since it doesn’t heat the entire house),
and I promised the boys we’d make gingerbread sometime this week too.
Mmm…

Here’s the REST of the week’s menu:

Sunday
breakfast: banana-peach smoothies, toast
out to eat for lunch!
dinner: potatoes au gratin, green beans & carrots, sauerkraut

Monday
breakfast: soaked oatmeal, fresh homemade applesauce, raw cream
am snack: applesauce, raw cream
lunch: l/o potato gratin, peaches
pm snack: crispy nut trail mix
dinner at Grampa & Nana’s: BBQ hamburgers, potato salad, watermelon

Tuesday
breakfast: corncakes (from the freezer), apple chutney
am snack: peaches, cottage cheese
lunch: miso soup w/brown rice & vegetables
pm snack: raw cheese, grapes
dinner: chicken pozole, homemade tortilla strips, chismole

Wednesday
breakfast: soaked wheat berry cereal, peaches, raw cream
am snack: sun dried tomato cream cheese, crackers
lunch: mini pizzas, salad
pm snack: vanilla pudding, graham crackers
dinner: salmon patties, brown rice, salad

Thursday
breakfast: scrambled eggs, bacon, toast
am snack at the park: carrot sticks, raw ranch dip
lunch: grilled cheese, tomato soup
pm snack: vegetable sticks, l.o. ranch dip
dinner at Papa and Gramma’s – Moma’s night out!

Friday
breakfast: soaked oatmeal, berry compote, cream
am snack: crispy walnuts, cream cheese
lunch: tuna salad sandwiches
pm snack: peaches, cottage cheese
dinner: spicy vegetable soup, whole wheat challah, salad

Sabbath
breakfast: gingerbread pancakes, whipped raw cream
lunch on our hiking trip to Lewis Creek!
dinner: popcorn, fruit, raw cheese
