Hidden Pathways to Healing: Spicy Greens herbal blend

In honor of the holiday season, I’d like to share one of my favorite blends.
It’s wonderful for those of us who need a little extra boost of energy in the morning, but don’t want to add caffeine to our bodies.
I made this blend to add some variety to the Women’s Daily Blend that I use each morning.
It’s great at this time of year, since it contains “seasonal” flavors.

Spicy Greens blend
4 parts nettle
2 parts red clover
2 parts red raspberry leaf
2 parts cinnamon chips
1 part alfalfa leaf
1 part whole cloves
1/2 part orange peel
1/2 part spearmint
(you can omit this if you are nursing, as mint can sometimes affect your production)

Combine herbs, and store in a cool dry place.
To use:
Place 1 tablespoon of blend per 1 cup of boiling water,
and allow to steep, covered, for 10-15 minutes.
Sweeten if desired (I love to use my cinnamon honey!).

There are fantastic, licensed herbalists out there – I am not one of them.
Please take the advice of your doctor, or health practitioner into account before using ANY of these preparations.
